DNM Health Services
About Us — Expert Clinical Counselors in McDonough.
DNM Health Services is a non-intensive outpatient mental health treatment program for individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families that encompass organized delivery of treatment and recovery services. Everyone in the program that is experiencing mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders will receive individual, group, family/couples counseling and referral for other services that may be needed. All services will be provided during regular scheduled sessions with a qualified certified/licensed professional. The level of care and duration of treatment will vary with the severity of each individual’s specific mental health and/or substance abuse needs and his/her individual response to treatment.
Each program offered at DNM Health Services is staffed by qualified and credentialed treatment professional. The treatment team is an interdisciplinary staff is composed of the Program Director, Clinical Director, Nurses and Therapist/Counselors. The treatment team is capable of assessing for mental health concerns, as well as, addressing and monitoring stabilized mental health problems. The treatment team is also capable of recognizing instability in clients with co-occurring mental health problems, and can intervene and/or make appropriate referrals as is clinically indicated.
Treatment focuses on the whole person in order to treat clients effectively. AND works with each client in partnership, to identify and resolve the unique core issues that underlie the substance issue. Concurrently, we also address the client’s destructive life behaviors. Motivational enhancement and engagement strategies are used in preference to confrontational approaches. Treatment integrates philosophies and practices from the medical, psychological, therapeutic and self-help communities. Type of therapy and length of treatment is determined by the individual’s willingness to change. Family/Couples therapy, referral to self-help groups, and other interventions are determined by the client’s level of need. If it is determined that a client needs services and resources our program does not or cannot provide, we will make referrals to an appropriate community agency or treatment provider.
