My Story
Hello, I’m Jheanell Douglas. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Capella University and a second master’s degree in Human Behavior, also from Capella. I’m currently working as a pre-licensed counselor under the supervision of a trained therapist. My background also includes a bachelor’s degree in Human Services. I’m passionate about helping others develop positive interpersonal skills and express their emotions in healthy ways.
I use a combination of culturally informed, structural approaches, Narrative Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy, tailoring my methods to each individual’s needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore and address their therapeutic needs. I’m dedicated to building a space where individuals feel heard and empowered to work on bettering themselves. In sessions, I blend humor, directness, and words of encouragement to foster a non-judgmental atmosphere and strong therapeutic relationships.
