My Story
Hi! My name is Kawahjahlin Rogers, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am under the supervision of a licensed clinician at DNM Health Services as I gain hours toward licensure and graduation. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. When deciding the next step in my academic journey, I was drawn to Marriage and Family Therapy because it emphasizes how the environments around us shape our responses both individually and as a system. I take pride in meeting clients where they are and supporting them along their journey.
With experience in mental health settings working with clients from preschoolers to seniors, I’ve seen how different systems affect us throughout life and how each person navigates these influences in unique ways. Given that all clients are unique, I use a variety of systemic approaches to help clients achieve their goals while maintaining cultural competence and curiosity. I believe the client is the expert in the room—no one knows you better than you know yourself! I enjoy helping clients discover their strengths and recognize the hidden capabilities within them.
My goal is to collaborate with you in creating a safe therapeutic environment, uncovering your true desires, achieving your goals, and overcoming the challenges you face. I look forward to working with you!
