“Do not feel guilty for prioritizing your emotional well-being. You deserve to flourish in safe spaces.” – Alexandra Elle
My Story
Hello, I’m Jheanell Douglas. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, as well as a second Master’s degree in Human Behavior, also from Capella. In addition, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. I am currently working as a pre-licensed counselor under the supervision of a licensed therapist at DNM Health Services.
My passion lies in helping individuals develop healthier interpersonal skills and learn effective ways to express their emotions. I strive to support clients as they navigate life’s challenges while building stronger relationships with themselves and others.
In my practice, I incorporate culturally informed approaches alongside Structural, Narrative, and Collaborative Therapy techniques. These approaches allow me to tailor the therapeutic process to meet each client’s unique needs and experiences.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and working toward meaningful change. During sessions, I often blend humor, directness, and encouragement to help foster strong therapeutic relationships and empower clients to grow.
