“Do not feel guilty for prioritizing your emotional well-being. You deserve to flourish in safe spaces.” – Alexandra Elle
My Story
Hello, I’m Jheanell Douglas. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Capella University, as well as a second master’s degree in Human Behavior, also from Capella. Additionally, I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services. Currently, I am working as a pre-licensed counselor under the supervision of a trained therapist here at DNM Health Services. My passion lies in helping others develop positive interpersonal skills and express their emotions in healthy ways.
In my practice, I use a combination of culturally informed, structural approaches, Narrative Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy, which allows me to tailor my methods to each individual’s needs. Furthermore, my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore and address their therapeutic needs.
I am dedicated to building a space where individuals not only feel heard but also empowered to work on improving themselves. During sessions, I blend humor, directness, and words of encouragement to foster a non-judgmental atmosphere and build strong therapeutic relationships.
